Retrofit Door - Cisco AP
DescriptionOberon’s Model 1052-00 wireless LAN access point enclosure is a locking 2’ x 2’ ceiling tile enclosure originally designed for the Cisco 1242, Cisco 1232, and Aruba Networks AP-70 access points. With many Cisco customers making the migration from the Cisco 1242 to the Cisco 1040/1140/1260/3500/3600 series 802.11n wireless access point, Oberon has designed the 38-52-3500/3600 adaptor door so that customers may install the new access point in the existing enclosure, without removing the enclosure from the ceiling. The upgrade simply requires that the existing 1052-00 door is removed (three interior nuts), the new access point is attached to the adaptor door, and the adaptor door is attached to the enclosure. The upgrade maintains the enclosure’s UL 50 design criteria, and provides the same level of physical security as previously provided. Upgrades are performed without accessing the air handling space above the ceiling.

Retrofit Door - Enterasys AP
DescriptionOberon’s Model 1052-00 wireless LAN access point enclosure is a locking 2’ x 2’ ceiling tile enclosure originally designed for most vendor’s wireless LAN access points with detachable antennas. For those 1052-00 customers migrating to the Enterasys AP3605/AP3610/AP3630 wireless access points with body integrated antennas, Oberon has designed the 38-52-ENT3610 retrofit door. The ENTERASYS retrofit door replaces the standard 1052-00 door. The access point is attached to a mounting bracket, which is then attached to the interior of the retrofit door. The door is then closed and locked. The solution is secure and aesthetic, and retains the original UL50 design criteria. Upgrades are performed without accessing the air handling space above the ceiling.
