These enclosures are designed to permit convenient and secure mounting of the access point on walls or in rooms with a hard "lid" or ceiling. The enclosures include a universal mounting plate for access points from many vendors, "keyed alike" locks, and knockouts for antennas, which can either protrude through the enclosure or can be installed as bulkhead kits. Most of Oberon's ceiling mounts and enclosures are UL Listed and carry an OPA number.

Oberon Model 1051-00 wireless access point enclosure

Description

The Model 1051-00 is a locking, recessed hard lid ceiling or wall enclosure designed to secure wireless access points and DAS remote units with detachable antennas from most vendors. This aesthetic, white powder coated steel enclosure can be recessed into the ceiling or wall, and has openings in the door for ceiling mounted antennas. Mounting hardware in the flange secures the flush mounted enclosure to the ceiling or wall. The 1051/1052 series has interchangeable retrofit doors, allowing current owners to install new access point or antenna solutions from different vendors, simply by swapping doors. The Model 1051-00 is deep enough to accommodate the Cisco 3600 series and other large 802.11n wireless access points, and DAS remote access units, with external connectors and up to six antennas.

The Model 1076-CP wireless LAN access point mounting solution is a locking, recessed wall or hard ceiling insert designed specifically to secure wireless access points and other wireless components while satisfying UL criteria for heat and visible smoke release in air-handling spaces. This aesthetic, white powder-coated steel enclosure has an impact resistant clear polycarbonate dome which is virtually transparent to wireless and IR signals. Installation requires a square opening to be cut into the wall or ceiling. The 15" square, beveled flange conceals the opening in the wall. The enclosure is retained in place by two wall bridges. Interchangeable doors permit migration to different equipment without removing enclosure from the wall. An interior universal AP mounting bracket emulates a ceiling T-Bar, allowing most manufacturer’s AP to be easily mounted.
