Did you know: the Wi-Fi label on a product specifies that the product has been tested to be interoperable with other products with a Wi-Fi label. However, certain wireless applications such as wireless VoIP and authentication, may be vendor specific. Before investing in wireless access points and client devices, interoperability for applications should be verified.

Project Management

Oberon provides project management services to ensure proper implementation, coordination, quality control, and system testing. Project management includes:

• Project plan development
• Installation coordination- Network integration support to install, configure and test all components
• Materials management
• Quality assurance- complete system testing to guarantee complete operation of all system components. This testing will consist of verifying RF connectivity throughout the specified coverage areas
• Customer communications

Project documentation- device connectivity and configuration, cabling, certifications

Installation

Oberon is a Corporate Member of BICSI (Telecommunications Association) with Network Designers and Installers (NDIs) located throughout the United States . Each of Oberon's NDI partners maintain an RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) and certified cabling installation teams. The teams utilize cabling test and measurement equipment for copper and fiber. Results are documented and presented within the Project Installation Report.

Oberon offers a standards-based, open systems approach to networking that provides integrated solutions for any organization. Oberon's installation team coordinates open vendor connectivity requirements, applications, and host platform or protocol selection requirements. The engineering team designs, installs, and supports network solutions tailored to the unique mission of each customer. Oberon specializes in providing facility analysis, network design, professional implementation, and post-installation service and support programs.

Staging

Staging can be used to avoid costly on-site, installation day discovery of equipment shortages and mis-configurations. Equipment and materials required for project completion become the responsibility of Oberon. An Oberon assigned Project Manager becomes responsible for successful project delivery. Project task assignments agreed to during the project kickoff meeting include materials management, installation, and configuration services. Utilizing Oberon's resources to Stage equipment either off-site at Oberon's facilities or on-site at the project's location leads to more efficient project implementations and satisfied customer installations.

Oberon can provide end-to-end resource management solutions that enhance the delivery of materials for projects by forecasting and optimizing required labor, supplies, equipment, and facilities throughout the duration of the project. By automating and linking resource requirements to project tasks, Oberon can improve the efficiency, reduce the variability, and lower the overall costs associated with project implementations.
