Wi-Fi™ RF Connectivity Monitor

Enterprise Wi-Fi deployments have become mission critical. Mobile users are dependent upon a robust radio frequency (RF) connection between their mobile client device and the network infrastructure. Disconnects between the mobile client device and the network infrastructure are disruptive, and, because of the nature of the radio frequency signal, can be difficult to resolve. Frequently, disconnects perceived to be caused by inadequate radio frequency signal strength are due to radio signal interference, poor wireless network design, or faulty device driver performance.

Oberon's DOT11 Monitor™ is designed to permit fast, real-time assessment and charting of RF connectivity between mobile devices and the infrastructure access point. The network administrator can preemptively determine the source of mobile connectivity issues.

Network designers and integrators can use DOT11 Monitor™ to pinpoint wireless connection issues, qualify network designs, support service level agreements, and remotely monitor customers wireless network performance.

Note: At this time, DOT11 Monitor™ only works with enterprise level Cisco Access Points and the Aruba AP 4000. This does not include the Linksys Access Point line.

Baseline Wireless LAN Connectivity

  • Real time client device availability assessment of your entire wireless network
  • The total availability provides a measurement of the number of client devices which are connected to the wireless network above a user defined threshold
  • The total availability is for ALL client devices connected to the wireless network, and is an effective way to baseline wireless network connectivity
